Musician Trey Songz, otherwise known as Tremaine Aldon Neverson, is reportedly cooperating with the police in relation to an allegation of sexual assault.

That is according to TMZ. Accordingly, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department have reason to believe that the musician will be able to help them with their investigation.
As of this moment, there is nothing to suggest that Trey is guilty, given that the investigation is still very fresh. The claims have apparently come after the rapper was celebrating his 37th birthday with some women.
That is when something may have gone down. A source said: “Trey and his entourage brought a group of females back to the hotel from the club, and that’s where things allegedly took a turn.”
Up until this point, the police have not made any arrests. However, it is important to bear in mind that Trey does have a previous track record when it comes to getting involved on the wrong side of the law.
That is not to say that just because somebody has been guilty previously that it automatically means they are guilty now, but it does show that the musician often gets himself involved in situations that he would rather do without.
Just last year, it was claimed that Trey was arrested in Kansas after he had gotten into a fight with the police during an NFL game. This was on the ground that he had apparently been breaching the rules concerning Coronavirus stadium protocols.
Therefore, his refusal to comply with such protocols ended up getting him into trouble. Although there was not enough evidence to charge with anything, it did lead to a lot of criticism and unwanted publicity.
In addition, the star was also accused of assaulting another police officer in 2017. This time, however, Trey ended up going on probation as a consequence of what he had done.
The investigation still has a long way to go with the authorities no closer to establishing what had happened. With that in mind, the only thing we can do is wait for the authorities to come to a conclusion.
