Not that you should really be one in the first place, but according to George Clooney Hollywood has changed so much in the last for years that no one can get away with being a “d***” anymore. His words, not ours. The actor opened up about the industry’s changing culture in a new interview with the Sunday Times. Here’s what he has to say.

“Just because you’re a boss, it doesn’t mean you get to s*** on people. I’ve been the boss and the guy being s*** on,” Clooney said. “You can’t get away with being a d*** anymore — you’d get ratted out.”

George added that a lot of the changes have occurred after Hollywood’s #MeToo movement, thanks in part to former producer Harvey Weinstein’s downfall in the industry. Weinstein has been sentenced to 23 years in prison, while producer Scott Rudin was the subject of allegations detailing decades of abusive and violent behavior.

“It’s changed in this way,” said Clooney. “On top of the terrible things Weinstein did, being a jerk at work is now not OK… I can’t imagine some producer having a casting session alone in his hotel room with a young girl anymore. It’s moving in the right direction.”

And while George says that turning 60 has felt like a “bummer” to him, he’s happy that he didn’t find Hollywood success until his thirties. He says he feels “lucky I got famous when I was 33, not 23,” because “I’d have been shooting crack into my forehead if I had been 23 and given money and success.”
