Chrissy Teigen Slammed For ‘Tone-Deaf’ Post About Hosting ‘Squid Game’ Party With “Rich Friends”: ‘There’s Something Super F—ed Up About This’

Chrissy Teigen has been slammed on social media for throwing a ‘Squid Game’ party with a group of friends.

The model was excited for the event, as she opened up about it during an Instagram post. She and her husband John Legend dressed up as characters from the show.

It was so authentic that the pair decided to give the place a makeover, so it looked like something from the set of the TV show. The post was captioned by the following comments: “Where do I even begin.

“What an absolutely epic night. My dream came true of watching my friends fight to the death! dunk tank, musical chairs, hide and seek followed by a very riveting final game of pin the tail on the donkey.”

Despite being such a popular show, the Netflix series has been bashed for the following reasons. It has been criticised on the grounds that it promotes excessive violence. After all, if a contestant fails to win a game, they could end up getting killed.

Secondly, the show has led to a significant negative impact on the younger generation. There have been stories where children have been injured due to replicating similar games that have appeared on the show.

In addition, some schools also banned children from wearing Squid Game costumes during the recent Halloween celebrations. That is why people felt that Chrissy’s actions were deplorable.

In a post on Twitter, one user wrote: “I’m sorry rich people are literally so tone-deaf. Squid game was literally about people whose lives were so awful because of being poor that they’d rather play a game of literal life or death to escape.”

While another person stated: “Usually I’m a fan of Chrissy Teigen, but there’s something super f—ed up and weird about spending the weekend cosplaying Squid Game with your incredibly rich friends.”

Chrissy certainly does not do herself any favours when it comes to her use of social media. Given the bullying controversy that she was accused of, it is hard to understand why she is not more careful when it comes to her social media activities.
