To infinity and beyond are words that are synonymous with Buzz Lightyear and 90s kids everywhere. After the release of ‘Toy Story’ in 1995, the world of animated films shifted and an entire era of Pixar was born. Now, we’re going to get to witness Chris Evans step into the space ranger boots left by Tim Allen in an all-new film.

The official teaser trailer was released and people everywhere are singing its prayers. It looks amazing. Just take a look at it below!

“To infinity and … 🚀 Experience the origin story of a Space Ranger in Disney and Pixar’s #Lightyear, in theaters Summer 2022. 💫 Chris Evans lends his voice to Buzz. Annie Award-winning director and veteran Pixar animator Angus MacLane helms “Lightyear.” Galyn Susman produces.”

Viewers commented on the teaser, “Chris Evans at it again with the not completing catch phrases and blacking out”, “That is some seriously good looking animation.”, “You could say that the hype for this movie is Buzzin'”, “The animation looks superb! We need an end credit scene of Buzz holding his own action figure.”, “Dude I grew up with this dude I cannot believe this is real”, “I’m so excited!!! No Tim Allen is gonna be sad, but I guess they’re treating this like an actual story canon to Star Command lore rather than the “cartoon” that exists in universe?? Really weird, but I seriously cannot wait” and “Can’t wait to see the few Toy Story and Wall-E references. They appropriate themselves in this setting. Of course, that scene with Buzz and the cat? Could it be a reference to Alien with Ellen Ripley’s own cat (albeit this one is a robot)?”

Pixar’s ‘Lightyear’ will be releasing this June 17th, 2022.
