As we all know, van life vlogger Gabby Petito was found around a month ago, murdered in a Wyoming State Park. The cause was determined to be, beyond a shadow of a doubt, manual strangulation.

At first they thought it was just asphyxiation which would have been bad enough but would have cast reasonable doubt onto Brian Laundrie as the prime suspect because we could have just said that she asphyxiated due to some unknown reason and Brian panicked and ran away, which would have been bad enough – but the picture the Coroner painted is quite different.

What are the implications of ‘manual strangulation’ for Brian Laundrie?

The coroner said that whomever did this, it was a crime of passion, and that even though Gabby’s body had been out in the park, exposed to the elements, for weeks, that they could still tell that her death had been done by manual strangulation.

This takes quite a lot of force and the perpetrator and victim are basically eye to eye during this act, it’s a very horrible, very intimate way to die. Who else could have had such a grudge against Gabby that they would have literally taken her life while looking into her eyes? Could a stranger have done it? Quite possibly, but it’s very, very doubtful.

Right now, the only thing that Laundrie is charged with his bank fraud for using Gabby’s bank card for charges that racked up to over $1000, we don’t know what he bought because we don’t have the receipts, we do however know the amount.

However with this one seemingly innocuous charge, they can now bring in the US Marshalls to search for this man, and Brian Laundrie may be good, and may have lawyered up and stayed quiet so far, but he has to get tired sometime and  slip up.

It might seem a little extreme to send out US Marshalls to search for one person, but he’s already killed once, there’s nothing saying that he won’t do it again if he feels trapped. Fortunately, the US Marshalls leave no stone unturned when they search for someone. We at DSD will keep you updated on this case. Stay tuned!!!
