CBS ‘The Young and he Restless’ (Y&R)  spoilers are happy to see there are finally going to be some developments in one of the long running storylines.

It looks like they’re planning to finally kill Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz), who went on special assignment near the beginning of 2021 following the actor being fired.

While Danny being fired was a shock for many, sending Chance off seemed unneeded since they had subbed in Justin Gaston when Donny couldn’t be on set due to quarantine.

It appears this was always the plan, but Chance might not be gone. Just not around.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: Missing in action

Today, (10.22), Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) will deliver news that the building Chance was transferred to was bombed and leveled and there were no survivor.

This news will destroy Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway), and we’ll get another storyline where she mourns Chance for a few more months.

And it may be for nothing.

Leaving fans wondering what happened to a character is one of the oldest tricks in the books, so until they actually find Chance’s body he will probably return at some point.

Of course, this could all be moot and ‘Young and the Restless’ could be wrong and they find him under the rubble.

This just feels like an unnecessary side venture that should’ve happened months ago before Chance’s character was assassinated as he did the opposite he was built up as doing when he headed off.

CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers: The return

Assuming he’s not dead and just injured or off site, he’ll arrive during Abby’s lowest point and probably when she finds someone else.

It’ll be a big reveal that’ll have shock factor written all over it.

Given that, ‘Young and the Restless’ expects this and having Chance off playing hero is meant to delay things until they either decide to bring the actor back or move on.

It could possibly mean there’s an ongoing debate backstage about what to do with the character and actor and they need more time.

Judging from fan reactions online, this appears to be one of the most disliked storylines of the year, but it’s good there looks to be some kind of resolution for the character on the horizon.

Do you think they’ll find a way to bring Chance back? Let us know in the comments below and check back with ‘Young and the Restless’ for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
