‘The Bachelor’ Rumors: Women Reportedly Dropping Out After Supposed Lead’s Identity Leaked

The Bachelor’ rumors find that ABC’s alleged choice for the season 26 Bachelor lead is a divisive one. Perhaps ABC is hoping to stir up controversy ahead of the season premiere (not due until 2022) to get viewers to watch. However, having such a contentious lead may just have backfired on the producers as it has been reported that potential contestants are now backing out of appearing on the show.

Word is that casting for season 26’s contestants was supposedly closed, but they may just need to reopen the casting calls now that more than one woman looking for love would rather head back to Tinder than the date the rumored lead.

‘The Bachelor’ Rumors: Women Reportedly Dropping Out After Supposed Lead’s Identity Leaked

In case you missed it, Reality Steve, who tends to get 95% of his revelations right, leaked that the next lead of The Bachelor will be Greg Grippo. Though a Katie Thurston and fan favorite from the start, Greg’s self-elimination, supposed acting goals, and blow-up with Katie during After the Final Rose saw him lose favor with around 50% of viewers.

                                                                                                         (Potential Spoilers Ahead!)

The other #TeamGreg 50% believed that Greg did nothing wrong and that Katie doesn’t know the meaning to gaslight, being absolutely in the wrong when she tried to slap the accusation against him.

Needless to say, it’s a provocative choice for a lead…if it’s true.

Reality Steve definitely stood behind his leak, even when a reply to Steve’s revelation emerged, allegedly from Greg’s uncle saying via his Instagram Story. “You are wrong. They offered it to Greg but he declined. They wanted him. It will be Andrew [Spencer].”

The comment was quickly deleted and in its place ‘Greg’s uncle’ wrote, “Well then be prepared to be ‘surprised.'”

Just to add to the chaos, executive producer Mike Fleiss is trolling Bachelor Nation with all sorts of odd tweets like, “Our casting choice for your next #TheBachelor will unite #BachelorNation and solve all of the world’s problems” and, though he would not share the name of the lead he teased, “All I can tell you right now is that #BachelorNation will be very happy! Well, maybe not everybody.”

Though any name is yet to be confirmed, an Instagrammer whose sister was “in the final stages of casting” reportedly backed out of appearing on season 26. The ‘contestant’s sister’ went on to allege “lots of others did when they saw the direction of who was probably going to be the bachelor.”

Its hard to say if any of these social media users are credible- no one can really imagine someone going through intense casting calls and cullings and then dropping out because of a rumor. But then this is Bachelor Nation. If two men can be fighting over Tammy Ly on a beach in Mexico, anything can happen!
