‘Days of Our Lives’: Beyond Salem spoilers reveal the premise was about stolen jewels that would have grave consequences if not recovered. It was intended to be a throwback to the crazy plotlines of the soap heyday. However, there was a kind of fun (and ironic) twist. Let’s take a look at how things went down.
‘Days of Our Lives’: Beyond Salem Spoilers – The threat
The Alamanian Peacock was a golden peacock that held several gemstones. Beyond Salem spoilers indicate the ISA was finally able to get moving on this over 30-year robbery when some of the jewels resurfaced. Unfortunately, things didn’t go as smoothly as it appeared, and the bad guys ended up with the jewels after all. This led to the peacock, which had been turned into a dangerous device, getting armed with the gems. Except not. At the last minute, the final stone didn’t do its job. So, what went wrong?
‘Days of Our Lives’: Beyond Salem Spoilers – Ironic
So, you might remember that Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) is a con artist who made life interesting for Will Horton and Sonny Kirakis (Chandler Massey and Freddie Smith) when he accused Sonny of a crime and they thought they’d accidentally killed him.
Well, he was back in Beyond Salem, and just happened to be Will’s source for a story on one of the stolen gems. The emerald, to be exact. He, as usual, took full advantage of his connection to a person who can give up the jewel. Current Sonny (Zach Tinker) was horrified to learn Will was once more mixed up with their nemesis. However, for once, Leo was actually helpful.
See, after a series of events (which are hilarious, by the way), WilSon and Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) were in possession of the jewel in question and ready to turn it over to the ISA. Except, Leo managed to swipe it and exchange it for a different emerald before the ISA stopped him and took it. So, Leo’s betrayal actually saved the world from disaster, and we can’t! It’s a funny, perfect twist that makes us want more special miniseries projects.
‘Days of Our Lives’: Beyond Salem Spoilers – Redeemed?
One might think that this redeems Leo, in a way, but we disagree. He’s still the same old (awesome) Leo and we suspect he’s already out there thinking up his next scheme.
We personally would love to see him make an appearance on DOOL again. It could lead to some fun, and uncomfortable, moments for Chad, who was the object of Leo’s obsession during their adventure. We could see this becoming quite the story back home if people learn of everything Chad did and went through there, and Leo showing up would be the perfect way to get that cat out of the bag. Here’s hoping.
