Chrissy Teigen has been through a lot in her life, partly due to the accusations that she was bullying people on social media, but it is not all doom and gloom for the model.
Chrissy Teigen Has Been Sober For 50 Days
In response to the heavy criticism she was getting, Chrissy made the decision to give up alcohol and control her temperament. And the results have been there for all to see.
She has stayed sober for a consistent period and she could not wait to share the news with the whole world. In a post to her fans on Instagram, she shared a video of herself working out with her children.
She has a huge smile on her face, as she pushes herself to the limit. The post was captioned by the following comments: “Today is my 50-day sobriety streak. It should be nearly a year but I had a few (wine) hiccups in the road. This is my longest streak yet!”
It is probably wise that Chrissy does not turn to alcohol again. There were suggestions that her comments, which were deemed to be bullying, were done while she was under the influence of alcohol.
And the comments got so extreme that Courtney Stodden had to call Chrissy out over them. The latter stated that Chrissy had sent her a private message stating that she should basically kill herself.
In a prior interview with The Daily Beast, Courtney remarked: “She wouldn’t just publicly tweet about wanting me to take ‘a dirt nap’ but would privately DM me and tell me to kill myself. Things like, “I can’t wait for you to die.”
Although Chrissy did apologise for her behaviour, she could not take back what was already done. That is why Chrissy is hesitant over drinking again.
She added: “I still dunno if I’ll never drink again but I do know it no longer serves me in ANY way. I don’t get more fun. I don’t dance, I don’t get relaxed. I get sick, fall asleep and wake up sick, having missed what was probably a fun night.” Let us hope that Chrissy can stay sober for the benefit of everyone.
