That is according to none other than Octavia Spencer. Britney, for her part, announced that she had gotten engaged to Sam over the weekend. In an Instagram video post at the time, Britney showed off her diamond ring.
And the news was confirmed by Sam’s manager Brandon Cohen. He remarked: “I can’t f–king believe it. The couple made their long-standing relationship official today and are deeply touched by the support, dedication and love expressed to them.”
While they are clearly in love, as shown by Sam’s dedication in continuing to stick by Britney during her conservatorship battle with her father Jamie Spears, Octavia has stated that it is only right that Britney still protects herself.
After all, given what she has been through, anything could happen to her relationship with Sam in the future. In response to the announcement, Octavia replied: “Make him sign a prenup.”
It is true to say that a prenuptial agreement is probably a safe bet for Britney, but it does not seem to be the most romantic of choices.
Given that Sam had stood by Britney during her worst years, it is possible to suggest that he deserves to be with Britney without signing any sort of agreement.
And yet, the response on social media was the opposite. The fans just wanted what was best for Britney. One fan stated: “CONGRATS.,..GET A PRE NUP! WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!” And by the looks of it, the pair have plenty of things lined up.
During her conservatorship hearing, Britney admitted that she was prevented from marrying Sam. Not only that, but she also stated that she was not allowed to have kids.
And it looks as though she is going to do both. Her following comments confirmed as much: “I want to be able to get married and have a baby. This so-called team won’t let me go.”
It is wonderful to see Sam and Britney being so happy in their lives. They deserve it after the difficulties they have experienced, and long may it continue.
