Because that’s exactly what Ben Affleck did when he put an overzealous fan in his place after he tried to get a selfie with Jennifer Lopez. Both Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez were on hand for the Venice Film Festival this week and while they did make a stellar appearance on the red carpet, things almost got ugly while the couple were on their way out of the country. Ben got in the way of a maskless fan who was trying to get a little too close to Jennifer outside of the airport.

Ben was the first to get in the way before all of the chaos began. Thankfully, the couple’s personal bodyguard stepped up and grabbed the fan’s wrists and pushed him to the side.
After everything was said and done, both Ben and Jennifer joined hands again and avoided eye contact with anyone while they were making their way through the airport.
The couple appeared together on Friday on the red carpet for Ben’s film, “The Last Duel.” The two were photographed holding hands and kissing, publicly confirming that they are definitely in love.
Ben and Jennifer first met in 2001 on the set of the rom-com “Gigli,” in which they played criminals stuck on a job together, and later began dating. They became engaged in November 2002 but canceled their wedding in 2004.
“They have insane, on another level, chemistry. They are both super passionate and are head over heels with each other, just like they once were,” one source told ET Online. “This time around, however, they both really feel like this is it.”If that weren’t enough, it appears as though things have never been better between J.Lo and Ben than now.
“They couldn’t be more in agreement. They feel at this point in their lives they were undeniably made for each other,” the source continued. “Things between Ben and Jen have been easy and that’s what makes their relationship work so well. They work seamlessly together and it’s like their relationship hardly takes any effort.”
