Lady Louise Windsor, who happens to be the youngest granddaughter of Queen Elizabeth II, is taking her role as an auntie to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s children very seriously.
Queen Elizabeth’s Granddaughter Loves ‘Looking After’ Prince George And Princess Charlotte
Louise, for her part, may only be 17, but that has not stopped her from making her own contribution to the Royal family. During the summer holidays, Louise has reportedly gone out of her way to make sure that Prince George and Princess Charlotte have been kept entertained.
At a time when the Royal family has seen huge divisions within their ranks, most notably the Prince Harry and Meghan Markle saga, it has been vitally important to protect the youngest Royals from any controversy. And by the looks of it, everyone involved could not be any happier with Louise.
A source said: “Louise also endeared herself to everyone by looking after William and Kate’s children when they were up here. Louise loves drawing and sketching and was very patiently trying to get Charlotte to do pictures of rabbits and deer.”
The decision to draw with the children was not just because it was a pastime activity. Rather, Louise is known for being an accomplished artist. Much like Prince Charles, who has a passion for painting, Louise is seen as being someone similar in that regard. That is why the Queen has allowed Louise to share her passion with George and Charlotte.
The source added: “Because of her obvious artistic skill, the Queen allowed Louise to look through some of the collection of Queen Victoria’s Highlands sketches which are kept at Balmoral but are rarely dug out these days.”
Louise is clearly focused on her academic studies, and a future in the art world is not out of the question. She is on course to complete her grammar studies next year should the pandemic not intervene in any way. But whether she pursues a career in art at the expense of any potential Royal duties is anyone’s guess.
But in the meantime, if she can keep George and Charlotte in check, then the Royals will be just fine. If you liked reading this article, then check out our other features on the Daily Soap Dish.
