If you’ve been watching Love in Paradise, you’ll know all about free-spirited Key who lives in Bocas Del Toro, nine years ago she met Mark, a guy from Huntington Beach, California. They were together for a short while but ultimately the language barrier got in the way and it seems they have a bit of a past together – Mark lived with Key and her family while she was in rehab for drug use.
Mark and Key’s family weren’t a good fit because ultimately the language barrier proved to be too much. Eventually he and Key separated amicably, until one day Key found him online and decided to message him.
‘Love in Paradise’: Mark is not letting Key get away again… or is he?
Key said that they have actually talked more now than they ever did when they were actually together, because Key has learned a bit more English. I always had a theory that all of the relationships on 90 day fiance and the like where just those kinds of relationships where one party sent nudes to the other, and, in the case of Mark and Key of 10 years ago, that seems to have been the case, which really begs the question how on earth he managed staying with her through rehab because those are some pretty dark times.
Although, unlike Mike Youngquist and wife Natalie Mordotseva Youngquist of 90 days Happily Ever After these two actually seem to be genuinely in love with each other. There’s no malice and distrust, just sheer heat and passion.
But will that be enough to sustain it? Key is akready expressing some hesitancy. She doesn’t outright say that Mark is moving too fast, but rather she was quick to say in her confessional that while physically she’s ready for a relationship, she’s not too ready to take things to the next level as far as including Mark in her life and vice versa.
Mark, it seems, wants a ready-made wife, he seems to think that a decade is long enough for anyone, he’s come to get Key and take her home to California with him. But Key has already said she had no interest in moving to the US. This is going to be the most awkward conversations ever… as soon as they can stop canoodling. Stay tuned!!!
