Kathy Griffin has let her fans know that she is doing well after the actress underwent surgery on her lung.

The star has been suffering from lung cancer, despite the fact that she has never been a smoker. Naturally, when she was diagnosed with such a thing, she found it very hard to cope with. This was made worse when doctors informed her that a part of her lung had to be removed in order to keep the cancer at bay.
But with surgery having been done now, she can avoid the ordeal of undergoing chemotherapy which would have been more taxing on the body. In an official statement, a spokesperson for Kathy said: “Surgery went well and as planned. Kathy is now in recovery now and resting. Doctors say the procedure was normal without any surprises.”
This is welcome news for the actress who has seen her career disrupted, as a result of her health. And the words that were coming out from the doctors look to be positive. This has inspired Kathy to get back to the stage, as soon as she can to continue making people laugh as a comedian.
In a prior interview, she remarked: “I should be up and running around as usual in a month or less. It’s been a helluva four years…but I’m gonna be just fine.” Kathy, for her part, has had a disrupted career for the last four years. And her health was only one of the factors which led to that.
In 2017, she sent shockwaves around the world when she was pictured holding a decapitated head of former President Donald Trump. There is a fine line between being a comedian and causing offence, something which Kathy was testing to the limit. This resulted in her losing a lot of work, but making huge statements is something she lives by.
In response to the haters, she had said: “What I found is I felt like if I can’t make others laugh, then there’s no purpose for me to live. There’s no reason for me to live.” Let us hope Kathy makes a full recovery, so she can bring that joy back to her fans.
