This looks like a character building episode and CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers are curious how far some things will go.
We think it’s going to be a couple of episodes before things start heating up again after Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman (Hunter King)’s emotional goodbye, and we may need it.

Phyllis Summers (Michele Stafford) came to Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) because she needed a friend, and to be honest, so did Jack.
The two will be there for each other as they work to heal the wounds left by their children taking a different road than they planned or hoped for them.
This is going to be one of those moments where tissues aren’t enough as the feels will be coming as we get to really see inside of them.
We expect this to be on the scale of a funeral scene given how the show likes to manufacture perfect moments, and in a way maybe it is.
It’s definitely going to be one to remember.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For August 11: Feeling it out
Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) has gotten a taste of what could come if she does her part, but CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers doubt she’ll be that patient as she’s already been planning her escape.
And the next step of her plan is to test the waters as far as Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is concerned to see how far she can push things.
This could be dangerous for her if she pushes too far, but the new kinder, gentler Adam may be willing to give her more leeway.
She’s just better hope it’s not going to be enough rope to hang herself when Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) of the doctor walk in and give it a firm tug.
But Chelsea was never one to do things the easy way, and we’d be disappointed if she didn’t roll the dice and do something stupid, er, risky.
What’s going to be interesting is whether Adam will let her get away with it or pull back. He wants her to get better, so some leeway could help, which makes this a curious exchange between them.
