ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal we were just talking about the mystery surrounding some of these new arrivals in Port Charles. Well, on August 8th, one mystery was solved. Let’s take a look at the interview that will surely impact a current story, as well as when you’ll see one of the new cast members in action. It’s big news, but in some ways, not surprising. Here’s what you need to know.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Welcome…
First, ‘General Hospital’ spoilers indicate Cameron Mathison is soon to be arriving in Port Charles. In another article, we speculated he should arrive before September, due to other cast developments. Well, it’s confirmed. Mathison will be arriving in Port Charles on August 16th.
The mark the occasion, the actor sat down with Entertainment Weekly to chat about his GH arrival, the new movie he’s in, and the twist of fate that led to his new gig.
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: The details
We love this story. In this one, as well as another, Mathison stated changes at Home and Family gave him more free time. So, he took a huge leap and made a call to the PTB at GH. ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal this paid off, as evidenced by his August arrival.
And we love how he apparently locked this up before Home and Family got cancelled. It really shows us how sometimes things might seem like a bad thing, but it turns into something good. Because of the talk show’s cancellation, he now has more time to spend in Port Charles. And he will definitely be spending a lot of time there. Well, eventually.
Said the actor about his status on the series, “I think I’ll just say I’m under contract GH. I don’t want to get in trouble! I’m super humbled and excited to be there. I was on All My Children for many years back in the day. Coming back to ABC daytime, there’s nostalgia.”
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Who is he?
So, being under contract definitely implies a big role, right? Exactly. He’ll be taking over the role of Drew Cain, formerly played by Billy Miller. Apparently, he will debut via a phone call to Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco). Check out the interview for more details around his appearance and what exactly will be said in that call.
Obviously, Peter August (Wes Ramsey) is still in play, what with his body being missing. And given the circumstances around this phone call, we can’t help but wonder if Peter is still calling the shots somewhere. Did he possibly know Drew lived through the plane crash and have his taken hostage?
We’ll see. But if Peter is still alive (which seems more plausible than stealing his body), we think Drew will be the key to Peter’s final comeuppance. And it will be about time! Meanwhile, we also see him and Sam becoming a thing again. After all, she couldn’t stay in the life Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) chose.
And with Jason getting married and the weirdness of a relationship between her and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), Drew is a logical choice if they’re looking for a love interest for her again. Stay tuned to see how it all plays out.
