‘The Bold And The Beautiful’ (B&B) Spoilers reveal that Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) was telling Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks) how daughter Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) had been born and was surprised that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) hadn’t contacted her yet.
I guess with as much of a meglomaniacal jerkwad that Thomas has been, he’s never once forgotten about family, which is kind of amazing considering he’s skipped town and faked his own death at least once, but hey… family’s family! So when Ridge was telling Wyatt about the birth of his grandson he added that the kid could ride a bike.
‘The Bold And The Beautiful’ Spoilers: Yes, you read that right.
The kid is, what, a week old at most? And he’s already riding a bike? Well, I’ve heard kids are starting puberty earlier and earlier but I think developing motor skills at less than a month old is a little bit of a stretch.
Of course, it’s probably not that deep – it’s probably just the fact that Ridge is bad at Dad jokes, which is a shame, really because he’s been a Dad a least twice so he should have mastered the art by now, but it looks like that’s not to be.
Can you imagine growing up with a Dad who can’t tell Dad jokes? This isn’t the only time we’ve seen Ridge stumble over humor, when he was trying to calm Steffy down before she went into labor he used some exceedingly bad Dad humor to do so. It worked, and it made Steffy laugh, but it made the rest of us cringe.
It’s not his fault though, Ridge lives a pretty serious life, so it’s not surprising that he can’t really adapt to humor well. He was probably more worried about Steffy in the moment than actually landing that joke.
Eh, at least Steffy laughed. Though, can you imagine growing up in a house where your Dad can’t tell Dad jokes? Perhaps that’s where Eric Forrester (John McCook) stepped up to the plate, he looks like the type that could actually land a good Dad joke, but unlike Ridge, he knows his strengths and sticks to them, hence why we’ve never seen Eric crack a Dad joke and probably won’t. Sometimes it’s good to know your limits. stay tuned!!!
