‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ (B&B) spoilers find that star Katherine Kelly Lang is switching out Brooke’s designer duds for those of a pastor’s wife when she stars as Mary in The Christmas Dance.
It truly is Christmas in July as The Christmas Dance is in theatres and available On Demand right now.
Lang portrays the mother to the holiday flick’s lead character, Sarah. As most of these Christmas flicks go, Sarah has to return to her small town from the big city and **spoiler alert** ends up learning the true meaning of Christmas.
‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Spoilers: Star Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan) Starring in New Christmas Film
Playing Lang’s husband, the pastor- Sherman, is Home Improvement alum, Richard Karn. Best known as Tim ‘the Toolman’ Taylor’s bestie and Tool Time co-host, Al Borland, Karn has his own Bold and Beautiful roots.
Karn portrayed Judge Oplinger for two episodes several years back, ready to give Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) a lengthy prison sentence for stealing Forrester Creations’ designs… until Thomas Forrester (then Pierson Fode) made an impassioned plea on Sally’s behalf.
Karn and Lang did not share any scenes when he appeared on the soap that Lang has appeared on for 34 years, the entirety of the Bell sudser’s run.
Says Lang of the short departure from ‘sanctimonious, always throwing stones in glass houses’, Brooke Logan: “It’s wonderful because as an actress, you always want to spread your wings and try new parts and new characters. It’s all a learning process, and all about growth, which is great!”
We can only imagine it would be a lovely break for Lang to not tear up every five minutes or completely contradict all her past actions as she preaches to others for a short while, but we have to admit, it will be hard to see her as Mary, not Brooke in The Christmas Dance.
You can see Brooke, weekdays on The Bold on CBS
