Blake Moynes has admitted that he made an attempt to hook up with current Bachelorette lead Katie Thurston via a DM during the latter’s time on The Bachelor.

Katie, who had unsuccessfully tried to win over Matt James, made an immediate impression when she walked into the show with a vibrator in her hand. While that did divide the fanbase over whether such behaviour was appropriate, Blake certainly did not mind.
In fact, he was left feeling rather impressed. During an interview on the Click Bait podcast, he said: “It [reaching out] was right after her first episode, it was right away…She came out of that limo with that vibrator, I was like, ‘Yeah, I like what she’s about.”
So, how successful were his attempts? Well, not very well. This should be expected given what we know about Katie already. She is known for having a no-nonsense approach to life, and this can be seen through her current approach on the show.
She has called out contestants over not having the best intentions and only coming on the show for money. Take, for example how she sent Cody Menk home. And that is why Katie had no qualms about putting Blake in his place. He stated: “Her responses were very cold back… she didn’t open up her dialogue in any way. It was shut down right then and there.”
Katie, for her part, was all too aware of who Blake was. She had clearly done her homework and was left feeling rather unimpressed. She previously admitted that people should be wary of getting with Blake with concerns over whether he had the best of intentions.
And she hinted that he might not have been right for her given by her following comments. In a prior interview with Us Weekly, she remarked: “I definitely knew who he was, which [is] also Tayshia’s ex-boyfriend! So that’s weird.” It is safe to say that Katie and Blake will not be getting together anytime soon.
But what we do know is that there is more to this story than meets the eye. And fans will be dying to know if anything else comes of it.
