Meghan Markle’s ex-husband Trevor Engleson has opened up about the ex-couple’s failed marriage. The Hollywood producer claims that he often felt like he was “something stuck on the bottom of her shoe” as he certainly felt unwanted during the very end of their two-year marriage. Royal author Andrew Morton says in his book, Meghan: A Hollywood Princess, that Engelson could barely contain his anger when he found out that Markle had returned her wedding ring to him in the mail. The couple tied the knot in 2011, but were divorced by 2013. Sources say that they first met in 2004.

Markle’s childhood best friend Ninaki Priddy commented on the matter to the Daily Mail. She said, “I think there was an element of ‘out of sight, out of mind’ for Meghan. The way she handled it, Trevor definitely had the rug pulled out from under him. He was hurt.”
Engelson has since moved on from his marriage to Meghan Markle and has even carved out a new life for himself. Back in 2019, he married nutritionist and heiress Tracey Kurland, 33. They welcomed their first child together, a daughter Ford Grace, in August 2020.
As many royal fans know, Meghan Markle went on to marry Prince Harry in a lavish royal wedding in 2018. The couple now have two children, two-year-old Archie and their newborn daughter, Lilibet.
And while Engelson has had a few things to say about their relationship to the press, Markle has not once spoken about her ex-husband in public, as she prefers to keep a dignified silence instead.
