Jamie Lynn Spears has responded to her sister Britney Spears’ comments that expressed disapproval towards the former’s prior decision to perform Britney’s songs at a tribute show in 2017.
Jamie Lynn Spears Responds To Her Sister Britney Spears’ Diss Towards Her
Jamie, for her part, has always stressed that she has had the best intentions for Britney. This has been shown by her insistence that she is the only member of the family to not have benefited financially from Britney’s conservatorship battle.
Not only that, but Jamie has been a source of support for Britney by hanging out with her kids. Sources have confirmed as much: “We don’t see or hear about every little thing she does, but she is there for Britney as her sister, best friend and support system…and feels like Britney is strong enough to win this fight.”
And yet, Jamie’s tribute rubbed Britney up the wrong way. This was seen on Britney’s social media activity. In an Instagram post at the time, she remarked: “I don’t like that my sister showed up at an awards show and performed MY SONGS to remixes !!!!!” Rather than taking things to heart, Jamie responded in a very diplomatic manner.
This is understandable for several reasons. First of all, Britney is already very vulnerable and not on good terms with the rest of her family. Naturally, if Jamie were to respond in a bitter manner, it would not go on to help Britney.
Secondly, Jamie has her own memoir coming out where she will have the opportunity to address her relationship with Britney in full detail. Therefore, it would make no sense to blast Britney on social media. In response to the comments, Jamie shared the following post.
In the picture here, Jamie is wearing a red dress and red shoes as she is taking a selfie in the mirror. The picture was captioned by the following comments: “May the peace of the Lord be with you and your spirit.” There is clearly no love lost between the sisters, and Britney will need all the support of her family that she can get.
