‘Bachelor In Paradise’: Ben Flajnik Turned Down The Show Five Times

Ben, for his part, has not found his special someone ever since he split from his ex-fiancée, Courtney Robertson. And given that this was almost ten years ago, the calls for him to find someone are growing by the minute.

Their spilt did end badly initially, as Courtney released a book detailing how Ben was not exactly a dream to be with. Despite that, they have made up. His prior comments confirmed as much: “We’re fine. We’re cool. We didn’t speak for probably six years after that book came out, and then I reached out and just kind of extended the olive branch.”

While some time has passed since then, for now, the Bachelor franchise is not the way for Ben to find his dream woman. And yet, by being 38, he is not getting any younger. During an interview with Us Weekly, Ben confirmed how he turned down the opportunity to appear on several occasions.

He said: “They’ve asked me to do it, like, five times. My handler at the time, Adam Mansfield, is now working on that show, so he always reaches out, and I’m just too busy. I have too many projects and companies.” Having said all that, there is always the chance for Ben to appear given the connections that he has on the show.

He admitted that by living in a small town, any date that he would often go on was deemed to be part of the show. While he did make that as a tongue in cheek comment, he revealed that he is trying to find someone to settle down with.

He added: “I sporadically go on Hinge every once in a while, so yeah, I suppose I’m on the apps. I live in Sonoma now, which is a fairly small town, and that makes dating fairly difficult.” Ben still has plenty of time to decide if he would consider making an appearance on the franchise. The longer he fails to find someone, the chances of him appearing increase by the minute. Time will tell.
