Aly Raisman has put out a call to action amongst her fans in the hope that they can help recover her lost dog.
Aly Raisman Loses Her Dog On Independence Day
The gymnast, who is the proud owner of her dog Mylo, was busy enjoying the July 4th Independence festivities when the worst thing happened. During the course of the customary fireworks, Mylo had reportedly gotten frightened amid the noise and chaos.
As a result, the dog ran off into the wilderness, never to be seen. In response, Aly is doing all that she can to recover him. In a post to her fans on Instagram, we can see a picture of Mylo sitting on a beanie bag and looking into the distance.
The post was captioned by the following comments: “To my followers in the seaport/Boston area…my dog Mylo was terrified of fireworks and ran off. He has a tag on and a leash. Please let me know if you see him. Thank you.”
Aly and Mylo have a long history together. She previously rescued the dog from a shelter last year after having been abandoned/ given away by the previous owners. With that in mind, she forged many memories together and even referred to herself as being Mylo’s mother.
And yet, that is only half of it. The dog has also struck up a friendship with major celebrities, including none other than Captain America himself, Chris Evans. Aly and Chris are big dog lovers, which has seen them being pictured on numerous occasions together.
In a prior interview with Us Weekly, Aly confirmed how their friendship had been aided by their love of dogs. She said: “Our dogs have fun together, so it’s nice.” Fans have responded to the call and started to look for Mylo. However, it is not going to be so easy.
Aly confirmed that Mylo is not very fond of strangers and can often become more anxious when confronted. That is why she has given her fans some sage advice on what to do. She added: “Please do not go out and actively search for Mylo. He is terrified, and the folks at Missing Dogs Mass advised that we don’t have anyone yelling his name.”
