ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Intended shocking moment brings the laughs

ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers indicate the graduation party for Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) didn’t quite go as planned. In a “you need to see it to believe it” moment, the graduate made an entrance her guests will not soon forget. Let’s talk about what led to this moment and why it probably didn’t get the reaction from us the writers intended.

ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Drama all over

First, ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal this night was bound to end strangely. Between two of the parties happening simultaneously, Josslyn Jacks’ (Eden McCoy) party didn’t include either of her fellow graduates.

It seems odd to us, even given the situation between Joss and Cameron Webber (William Lipton). Competing parties where you might invite the same person isn’t very cool.

The bashes all came with their own drama. Between Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) trying to hide his hate for Jasper Jacks (Ingo Rademacher), the relationship drama with Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) and Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), plus Nikolas Cassadine’s (Marcus Coloma) trap, there was bound to be trouble. And it really hit Trina.

ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Two for the price of one

The poor girl had the roughest night of all. First, she had to deal with the tension between her two friends. After, she ended up encountering not one, but two, intruders at Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) gallery. The first one ended with Nicolas going to GH to take care of his pepper sprayed eyes.

The second was a bit more ominous and ended with Trina looking surprised as something came down from the roof of the gallery. This is where things get off track for us.

ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Unintended results

In the final shot, Trina makes a dramatic entrance to her party that causes her guests to gasp and Portia to cry out in horror. The shot of Trina covered in red gave us a moment of “the huh?” which quickly devolved into laughing. Certainly not what the writers intended.

As the news about the new Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) has broken, it’s obvious he’s the stalker Trina confronted. We don’t them killing him off with whatever fell this fast, so it was obvious this was Nicolas’ trap at work.

Plus, Trina didn’t look injured at all. More like she got slimed with red stuff instead of the green we’re sure a lot of people will remember from when they were kids. We have to give the writers some props for the laugh, but we’re a bit disappointed in the intent and its execution.
