’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers indicate that there are way deeper problems in Andrei and Libby Castravet’s relationship when Libby accuses him of “selfishly going to the bathroom” instead of watching their daughter.
Okay, this logic only tracks if Andrei was going to the bathroom to check his phone, and if he had left little Eleanor by herself, however, Libby and all of her siblings and Grandpa Chuck Potthast were all in the airbnb where they were staying. At any time any one of them could have stepped in to grab Eleanor to prevent her from going up the stairs, but they were literally sitting there, literally twiddling their thumbs.

Also, was he supposed to take Eleanor to the bathroom with him? Now, I know Andrei is Ellie’s Dad, but it just seems highly inappropriate that a Dad would take a daughter to the restroom with him. Maybe he failed to tell anybody that he was going to the bathroom, maybe that’s what Libby meant by selfish, but answering nature’s call is hardly what one would call selfish and rather just fulfilling a basic need.
Andrei’s gotta go sometime and it looks like one of Libby’s concerned siblings would have maybe just thrown Andrei a bone, or if not them, perhaps Chuck, just this once.
But nope, Andrei gets labeled as selfish for simply answering nature’s call, and the entire Potthast family dissolved into a screaming match again. It’s amazing that Ellie hasn’t cried the entire time that they’ve been on this roadtrip because when you’re that young, your family having a screaming match is pretty upsetting. However maybe she got used to it quickly once she was in the RV and just realized that that was the climate.
Still, I think it speaks volumes for how Libby and Andrei are getting along if a trip to the bathroom manages to make Libby snap.
Either she is ticked at him for losing one of the many stupid mindgames her family plays (I wouldn’t put it past the Potthasts to not help Andrei on purposes just to make him out to be a horrible parent by doing something as mundane as going to the bathroom) or there’s a deeper issue that hasn’t come to light yet between them. Guess we’ll see. Stay tuned!!!
