Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor, best known for being former stars of the show Vanderpump Rules, have given their take on what they believe to be some sage parental advice.

The duo recently welcomed the arrival of their son Cruz, following the difficulties that Brittany had with the pregnancy. While it was a relief, they did go on to discover that parenting is not an exact science. Luckily for the fans, they had some advice on offer. During an interview with Us Weekly, Jax stated how pets can have a positive impact.
He said: “They, like, want us to go over there so they’ll start barking. They’re very aware of Cruz, and they’re so protective. Our other [poodle] guards the pacifier, guards the little play area. She won’t let the other dogs near. It’s really cute.”
Jax, for his part, had been very vocal about the struggles he had gone through in the initial stages of being a father. He opened up on how he dreaded holding Cruz for fear that he may end up dropping him. And it got so bad, to the extent, that Jax could not walk up the stairs with Cruz. But that was just one problem amongst many.
Jax was also asked about coping with the lack of sleep, but as for a solution, he ruled out sharing his bed with Cruz. He added: “I’ve seen horror stories. I don’t want my kid sleeping with me at 13 years old. I know there’s gonna be no way I’ll be able to say no. It’s probably gonna happen.” And yet, Brittany had other ideas.
She did not rule out the prospect of co-sleeping, as she valued her own sleep as being paramount. This is understandable given she is being tasked with the most responsibility and therefore needs all the beauty sleep she can get. She stated: “It’s going to be hard for me not to[co-sleep.”
Despite their disagreements, one thing they have agreed on is to show their affection in front of the kids. They want to raise their family in a happy environment, and nothing should get in the way of that. Jax revealed: “That shows love.” So there you have it—the Vanderpump guide to parenting.
