Catherine Giudici has opened up on how her husband Sean Lowe has boycotted the Bachelor franchise in response to Chris Harrison’s departure.

Chris’ departure left many fans angered, who felt that the show made his departure inevitable after not backing him initially. Although the producers have tried to shake things up with celebrity hosts such as David Spade and Lil Jon, it has not been enough to keep Sean interested.

In an interview with Us Weekly, Catherine stated how she has to watch the show without her husband. She said: “I’m watching it. My husband is kind of boycotting it because of the Chris Harrison stuff, but I’m watching it this season to support the girls. It’s been interesting. It’s been an interesting season.”

This is not the first time that a former star of the show has hit out at the franchise. Just recently, Tanner Tolbert made his feelings known after he expressed his anger towards the choice of hosts. He questioned the viability of having alternate hosts, given the crucial role they play in making sure that the contestants are comfortable.

Naturally, if hosts are being switched up, then any bond/chemistry is going to be rooted out. In a prior post to his fans on Instagram, Tanner revealed: “I know my opinion doesn’t really matter … but this s—t’s turning into a circus. I think the Bachelor franchise needs to figure their s—t out and figure it out quick.”

And yet, it has not been all doom and gloom. Catherine has stated how she is looking forward to the new season. She has been left impressed by the confident manner in which current lead Katie Thurston has been conducting herself. This has been shown through her nonsense approach of sending contestants home.

We only have to look at how she sent home Cody Menk. There were concerns over whether Cody had been there just for the fame, but Katie had no hesitation in putting an end to it all. The current season of The Bachelorette will continue to divide the fans, but whether it stays for the long haul is anyone’s guess.
