Soleil Moon Frye has confirmed that she is on good terms with Charlie Sheen, in the aftermath of a documentary detailing her prior sexual romance with Charlie.

Soleil, for her part, was 18 when she first had intimate sex with someone. The person with whom she had done it with was Charlie. The latter at that time was 29, but Soleil has always looked back on their relationship with many fond memories. In an interview with Us Weekly, Soleil revealed how she intends to reach out to Charlie now that the documentary has been released.
She said: “I have not spoken to him since [it came out]. I have to say. He’s always been very sweet to me throughout the years. I’m sure at some point we will have a catch-up.” Her disclosures were controversial for two reasons. First of all, the age gap between the two raised concerns over whether Soleil was being drawn in by an older man who happened to just see an opportunity.
This was particularly exacerbated, given that Charlie had been accused of sexual assault throughout his career. This all came to a head when Corey Haim stated that Charlie had raped him as a 13-year-old when Charlie was 19. Charlie, though, denied that anything had happened, which was how Soleil had seen him. She added: “I can only speak to my experiences and really staying true to my truth.
“What I found through the videos and the diaries and really realising that through this experience of my story [is] all of our stories are so important.” And it seems that Charlie holds Soleil in high regard too. He has had a long-term friendship with her that has spanned over a decade.
While many people would have frowned upon the prospect of someone discussing their sex life in public, Charlie had no issue with Soleil’s documentary. In fact, he embraced it and was looking forward to it. In a prior statement, he admitted how the documentary was “on [his] list to watch and very near the top.”
It will be fascinating to see whether Charlie will feel the same way once he watches it, and we wait for his comments on what promises to be a frank reveal.
