We know exactly what she means here. Kristen Stewart says that she now can’t stop thinking about the late Princess Diana after she got to know her very well in her new movie, Spencer. In fact, Kristen says that she thinks about the former Princess of Wales so much that she sometimes falls asleep listening to her voice.
Speaking to OK! Magazine in a new interview, Kristen says that she loved playing Princess Diana in her upcoming film and that it was one of the coolest experiences of her career.
Kristen Stewart Is Now Obsessed With Princess Diana
“She means a lot to me – but it’s all relatively new because I’m from LA and I didn’t grow up in England. Before this, she was not something that was at the forefront of my mind, because I lived so far away from it all.
She added, “To be honest, I’ve now consumed pretty much all there is to consume in terms of videos and interviews. I’ve watched everything that you could hear or see. I even go to sleep with it on.”
Back in November, Kristen also said that she couldn’t help but feel protective while playing Prince Charles’ ex-wife.
Kristen put it this way, “I didn’t grow up with her maybe in the same way, I was really young when she passed away. I feel sort of the same way about her. It happened really quickly. I was really young, [I] didn’t know what was going on. It’s hard not to feel protective of her. She was so young.”
She continued, “I mean, everyone’s perspective is different and there’s no way to get anything right because what is fact in relation to personal experience.”
The film will cover the life-changing weekend in the early 1990s when Princess Diana decided that her marriage was over between her and Prince Charles. This was during their Christmas holiday at Queen Elizabeth’s Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, England.
Having had enough of all the scandals and royal controversies, Princess Diana announced to Charles then that she wanted to step back from life as a member of the British royal family.
