Jamie Spears has admitted that he may have had a hand in making his daughter Britney Spears suffer throughout the years.
Jamie Spears Admits He Made Britney Spears Suffer
The duo are currently in an intense conservatorship battle, as the court decides the outcome of who should have control over Britney’s estate. While Britney has made her position clear, that being her distaste for her father, the latter has now acknowledged his role in it all.
In a statement given by Jamie’s attorney, Vivian Thoreen, she said: “He’s sorry to see his daughter suffering in so much pain.” Despite Jamie’s public admission of remorse, albeit on his behalf from his attorney, it may not be enough to save him from the attacks that are likely to come his way.
This is in light of some of the things that Britney went on to reveal. First of all, the singer claimed that she was a victim of abuse. In particular, she outed her father for having a power complex in being able to dictate how his daughter should live.
In an official statement, Britney remarked: “He loved the control he had over me, 100,000 percent. I truly believe this conservatorship is abusive.” One of those instances of control has been over her relationship with her boyfriend, Sam Asghari. The duo have been dating since 2016, and by all accounts, their relationship could not be going any better.
And yet, fans have always wondered why the duo have not decided to tie the not, as well as have kids. Well, Britney let the whole world know exactly why. And yes, you guessed it, it was down to her father.
She added: “I have an IUD in my body right now that won’t let me have a baby. I want to be able to get married and have a baby. I was told with the conservatorship I was not able to get married and have a baby.” With all this out in the open, it is really hard to see how Jamie can win himself over with the public.
