‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Alum Mike Manning’s (ex-Charlie Dale) New Project

When ‘Days of Our Lives’ (DOOL) spoilers find that favorite, Mike Manning left the show after his all too brief stint as rapist, Charlie Dale, he had hinted at new projects he had lined-up.

Today we have learned that he will be starring in an Indie drama called The Way Out. Also starring Sherri Shepherd and Katy Keene alums, Jonny Beauchamp and Ashleigh Murray, The Way Out was written and is being directed by Barry Jay, founder of the popular Barry’s gym franchise.

Jay is also producing the film and will be the debut project under his newly launched production label: Fight Or Flight Films.

‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Alum Mike Manning’s (ex-Charlie Dale) New Project

Manning’s role is described to be ‘highly manipulative’. He will play a boxer name Shane who takes Alex (Beauchamp), a struggling addict under his wing and provides him with some “unconventional advice” as he teaches him fighting techniques.

We think this may mean a lot of shirtless Manning footage.

As Alex confronts his demons and attempts to take control of his life, Shane’s Machiavellian guidance leads Alex down a dark path that jeopardizes not only his sobriety, but also his life.

Manning posted Deadline’s article about his new project on his Instagram, commenting that he is  “Excited to work w/ this talented team. Ok, now back to training…”

Congratulations and well wishes were sent in by fans and his ex-Days of Our Lives co-stars like Paul Telfer (Xander Kiriakis) who sent him applause and boxing emojis and Tamara Braun, who plays Manning’s now dead character, Charlie’s mother, Ava Vitali, seemingly very excited for the young actor, writing, Yes! Yes! Yes!!! That’s my son! 😂congrats Mike!! 🥊🥊🥊

While we are still getting glimpses of Manning on our DOOL screens as his murderer, Jan Spears (Heather Lindell) thinks back to the fateful night she shot him, there are many a soap fan out there hoping to see the charismatic performer back on soap screens in a more permanent basis in the near future.

Make sure to catch Manning’s final Days of Our Lives scenes as the long running sudser airs on NBC, weekdays.
