Raven Gates and Adam Gottschalk’s journey in meeting each other had taken on an intriguing journey compared to the other stars of the show.

The duo came across each other in 2017, during the 4th season of Bachelor in Paradise. While they did have some chemistry, fans did not get to see the full journey as the show ended early due to allegations of sexual misconduct. And yet, that turned out to be a blessing in disguise as the couple could focus on themselves without the fear of the cameras.

In an interview with Us Weekly, Raven said: “There was no pressure for us to stay together. I think a lot of people, honestly, in Bachelor Nation kind of forgot about us… which was really good for us.” And this ended up working wonders. The duo would go on to get engaged and walk down the aisle that year.

Although they were visibly happy, the journey in getting married was not an easy one. The couple had to postpone their wedding on three occasions before they could finally tie the knot. Nevertheless, the moment will live long in the memory. She added: “We had such a beautiful time.

“And it was so perfect that I think had it have been bigger like we originally planned, we probably would have been more caught up in the details and not necessarily in the moment.” Despite the clear happiness on show, the duo have no plans to televise their wedding. Many stars of the Bachelor franchise have gone on to do this, notably Chris Randone and Krystal Nielson.

In light of what happened to the duo, it is probably wise not to do it. Chris and Krystal ended up filing for divorce as their relationship started to get bitter. And clearly, it did not help that they had broadcast their wedding in front of the cameras. That is something that Raven has borne in mind.

She stated: “It was just not something we thought would fit what we wanted to do. And I don’t know if we would have had such creative direction of our own…I don’t want to share my day with like other people going on dates.”
