Ali Fedotowsky has opened up on why Chris Harrison has not returned to hosting duties just yet.

‘Bachelor in Paradise’: Ali Fedotowsky Gives Her Take On Why Chris Harrison Returned As A Host

The former host of the Bachelor franchise walked away after the backlash he had received in response to his comments on the Rachael Kirkconnell scandal. While there had been rumours that Chris could make a return on the upcoming Bachelor in Paradise, that was ultimately dispelled by the plans that the producers would be going ahead with a mixture of alternate celebrities.

During an interview with Us Weekly, Ali stated that Chris was probably looking out for number one. She said: “Chris has a lot of say in whether or not he comes back or not. I know his relationship with the producers and the executive producers, and it’s a very close relationship.”

Their close relationship was evident, as Chris did return to the set in order to help out Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe. The duo had stepped in to take over Chris’ role, which still suggested that Chris was seen as a valuable member of the team. But given the cancel culture phenomenon that we are experiencing, any potential return has to be done at the most opportune time.

That is why there is no rush for Chris to return. She added: “I think for Chris’ mental health, he probably needs to take a step back because of what happened. I guarantee that’s a collaborative decision… I think that Chris doesn’t want to come back yet.” Irrespective of whether Chris returns, Ali has spoken on whether she would be open to hosting.

The star does have a lot on her plate, though. After becoming a mother to two children, the opportunities she had prior to her kids have dwindled somewhat. That is not to say she would not be open to doing it, but the idea of leaving very young kids to their own devices has put her off.

She continued: “It’d be super fun, but then again, like, my immediate reaction was, ‘Oh, my gosh, yes, I’d love to.’ But then again, I hate being away from my kids. So I don’t know.”
