Armie Hammer has, by all accounts, admitted himself into a rehab centre following the onset of the numerous rape allegations made against the actor.
Armie Hammer Checks Into A Facility To Get Help For Sexual, Alcohol And Drug-Related Problems
According to Vanity Fair, Armie left the Cayman Islands in order to seek some help for sexual, alcohol and drug-related problems. One witness had reportedly seen Armie being accompanied at the airport, as he was leaving the Islands, by his ex-wife Elizabeth Chambers.
The news may have been a shock to some, given that the actor is hardly in any trouble during the pandemic, which has destroyed the livelihood of so many. And yet, that has not made Armie along with so many other high profile celebrities immune from problems. One close friend told Vanity Fair the following: “Everyone looks at Armie thinking that he’s had some sort of privileged life.
“Just because you come from an upbringing where financial resources are plentiful doesn’t mean life isn’t without problems.” The actor will need to navigate his troubles successfully due to the presence of his kids. His ex-wife Elizabeth has always spoken fondly of Armie, prior to the disclosure of the allegations. And given that they shared two kids together (Harper and Ford), Armie will have to get his act together.
By the sounds of it, that is where the actor has been putting his focus: “[Armie is] committed to getting healthy and having custody of his kids.” The star’s acting career is on the line too. He recently left his role in ‘Shotgun Wedding’ in response to the backlash he received from the allegations. While he did receive support from the production team, Armie felt he had to clear his name in the face of an onslaught on his reputation.
During a prior interview with TMZ, Armie stated: “In light of the vicious and spurious online attacks against me, I cannot in good conscience now leave my children for four months to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic.” Armie has a long way to go before he can redeem himself. His legal battles are not going away anytime soon, but the only thing that he can continue to do is deal with his addictions.
