Jason made waves when he decided to propose during Kaitlyn’s time on her podcast entitled ‘Off the Vine.’ Given that she was not expecting it, the news left her with many uncontrollable moments of happiness. And things have continued in the same vein, as the duo held a massive celebration with the hope of a future wedding on the cards.
During a post to her fans on Instagram, Kaitlyn shared a picture of herself alongside Jason as they are smiling together. In the background, the scene is set for the party as the tables and balloons are aligned. The post was captioned by the following comments: “We feel so celebrated. So loved. The last two weeks have been pure magic.
“Starting wedding planning this week!! WHAT SHOULD OUR WEDDING HASHTAG BE???” Clearly, there is a wedding on the cards. But at one point, it could have so easily gone wrong. Prior to the engagement, Jason opened up on how he almost popped the question on another occasion before changing his mind. The moment in question involved Kaitlyn addressing her prior relationships that had failed during an interview.
Jason, for his part, wanted to make sure that Kaitlyn could have put those bad memories behind her. But in hindsight, it would have been a disaster, as Jason went on to confirm. He said: “I shot it down after about a day of thinking….I told Kaitlyn after … she’s like, ‘Thank God [you didn’t do it].'”
But this time around, Jason could not have done it at a better moment. The words Jason used really hit home, and it vanquished the prior relationship heartbreaks that Kaitlyn had been through. And to top it all off, it marked a wonderful year for her in which she has also been making waves as a host on The Bachelorette.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, she gushed over the proposal. She stated: “It was everything I could have asked for… We’ve never locked eyes like that in our lives…I was listening to his every word.” It is great to see the couple being so happy and long may that continue.
