The Bachelor find that Matt James, lead of the controversy-plagued season 25 of The Bachelor, is claiming that he did not have sex in the Fantasy Suites, a date which occurs in the penultimate episode of each season.
According to 29-year-old James, he used the time in the fantasy suites—where the couples stay overnight and cameras are not allowed to follow—to “get to know” his three finalists: Rachael Kirkconnell, Bri Springs and Michelle Young.

He went on to say that he believes the women appreciated how James handled the fantasy suites, claiming they were able to “dive deeper” into their relationships without the cameras listening into their private conversations. He said he learned a lot from these conversations he had in the suites with the final contenders.
It has always been hotly contended as to what occurs in the fantasy suites with audiences split about the controversial date.
Many believe it is important to be intimate with a person they intend to marry, to ensure compatibility while others are plain grossed out that the three dates happen back-to-back , so if sex does occur, it all feels a little “wham bam, thanks but you ain’t getting my rose, ma’am”.
Back in 2014, during the live Tell-All of the 10th season of the Bachelorette, helmed by lawyer Andi Dorfman, her runner-up, Nick Viall very famously outed Andi and he sleeping together during the private overnight date.
Looking very hurt that he did not walk away with Andi’s final rose (and a fiancé) he asked “If you didn’t love me, why did you make love to me?”
It was a brilliant piece of live television TBH.
It seems Matt James’ methods (eventually) worked. After a tumultuous break-up, make-up, break-up rollercoaster, he and final winner, Rachael Kirkconnell are back together and seemingly very smitten with each other…for now.
