Tallulah Willis, who happens to be the daughter of Bruce Willis, has opened up on the difficulties she has suffered with her body throughout her life.

Tallulah Willis Opens Up On Her Body Issues- ‘I Punished Myself For Not Looking Like My Mom’

The actress has been vocal about her problems with dysmorphia. This often causes people to feel conscious about a perceived flaw in their body, even though it is not visible or present. This can make people avoid social situations, and as an actress, it started to impact Tallulah heavily. In a post to her fans on Instagram, she was very frank about how she felt inferior compared to her mother’s appearance.

She said: “I punished myself for not looking like my mom, after being told I was [my father’s] twin since birth. I resented the resemblance.” But the support of her family was vital in allowing her to cope. Bruce has been instrumental in making sure that Tallulah has handled the acting business alongside her own issues.

Tallulah remarked at how her father introduced techniques such as removing mirrors from certain places in the house in order to avoid becoming fixated with image. And those measures were, in part, crucial to her improvement. She added: “I was/am inherently valuable and worthy, at any life stage, at any size, with any hair do! (As are you).

“You need to soothe the wound within your soul before trying to “fix” the outsides.” Another thing that has been important in her improvement was Tallulah’s decision to cut back on her social media activity. She has suffered unwelcome attention from fans in the past, and by all accounts, it had gotten a bit too much for her.

While it was necessary to stay connected with her fans, she could not find a balance in her life. She continued: “Be mindful of the special and impressionable minds around you and their access to social media and potential triggering imagery…We all want to feel good, and confident.” Tallulah was brave to open up on her struggles to the whole world.

And her fans will be there to make sure that she can finally put her demons behind her. If you liked reading this article, then check out our other features on the Daily Soap Dish. Please also visit TVRocker for all of the latest exciting news on all of your favourite daytime television soaps.
