We could be in for a couple of interesting storylines coming up, but CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ (Y&R) spoilers can’t shake the feeling we’ve circled back once again.
Not that it’s a surprise given things have hit a lull again. We just thought we’d get a couple more episodes under our belts before it started again.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For May 21: Kyle’s decision
Since Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) already decided to accept Harrison as his son to protect him, we doubt that’s his shocking decision. Unless he reverses course, which we don’t see happening.
Nope, Kyle wouldn’t do that. But we do think Kyle will want to protect Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) from Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi), and in his mind that’ll mean marrying her.
This seems farfetched, but it’s the type of boneheaded move Kyle would make so he can be the hero and feel good about himself while he leaves Summer alongside the road once again.
This has plenty of potential for a fun storyline despite Kyle circling back to his old habits, but we could be wrong. It wouldn’t be the first time.
CBS ‘The Young and the Restless’ Spoilers For May 21: Victor readies for war
With himself seated securely on the Newman throne and his own propaganda, er, media company at his disposal, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is going to lay out his plans to go after and destroy Chance Comm.
Of course, the company will be collateral damage as his real target is Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) for various crimes against the Newmans, but mainly for not kissing Victor’s ring.
‘Young and the Restless’ expect a media war between the two we’ve grown accustomed to seeing on a daily basis in real life, and this could rob many of their escapism they seek.
Sure, there’s a method to the madness as Victor’s most likely being purposely painted as a dictator, but fans watch these shows to get away and forget their daily lives, and now an aspect of our lives will be a main storyline.
Maybe we’ll luck out and it’ll be stopped before it gets started by Ashland. We know Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) probably won’t stand up to Victor despite him wanting to be a better person.
What do you think Kyle’s decision will be? Let us know below and check back with ‘Young and the Restless’ for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
