NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Ken Corday on renewal and HUGE Salem twists ahead!

‘Days of Our Lives (DOOL)’ spoilers reveal the show’s future is looking a little brighter lately. We remember watching an episode of Freddie Smith’s podcast where he spoke about how odd the whole renewal thing has been, as well as how it was getting more down to the wire.

This year, however, the cast, crew, and fans got a bit of breathing room. But how did that happen? What’s ahead? Let’s see what a recent interview reveals.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Risky move

So, Days of Our Lives spoilers indicate there’s always uncertainty both in Salem and behind the scenes. Who knows when a show is going to finally be put to rest, especially given how few soaps are left. Not to mention how talk shows and the like have taken over Daytime. However, DOOL is safe for the next two years.

Ken Corday, producer of Days, is quoted in a She Knows article as saying he was practically begging for the network to bring them back and give them two years instead of one. To paraphrase, he thought it would make doing their job easier. This comes with risk, though.

ANGEL fans will remember Joss Whedon is said to have done a similar thing. He wanted an answer early, but it didn’t work out as planned. Instead, the network chose to cancel the show. Now that this is all behind them, what can we expect over the next couple of years?

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Teasers

Apparently, fans better get prepared. Not long ago a big Time Jump shook up Salem. Well, we don’t have any details of what’s ahead, but Corday teases it’s going to be huge. It’s actually described as  “nuke” and we’re at a loss as to predict what crazy twist is going to come along.

What we do know is, Corday teases this big thing will come sometime after the Olympic Games. We honestly can’t wait. They’ve been doing a lot of fun things recently.

NBC ‘Days of Our Lives’ Spoilers: Old business

The article also spoke a bit about the #Cin situation, relaying similar information as another behind the scenes player said. We’re just a bit wary about how this can work out if Victoria Konefal (Ciara Brady) keeps coming and going.

Corday also spoke about Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) and the importance of diversity. We recently mentioned her going to contract status and we’re curious to see what trouble her secret is going to cause. Could that be the big nuke about to drop? We’ll see.
