The drama all started after images were leaked, which showed that Malik was getting up close and personal with Larsa as they were spotted holding hands. When Montana confronted Malik over it, she claimed that the athlete told her to leave the house alongside their son Makai who was only two at the time. They would finally call it quits, with Montana going on to file for divorce.
The fall out, though, was very controversial as Larsa had apparently been unaware of Malik’s relationship with Montana. That was very hard for Montana to accept, which is why she blasted Larsa. During a post to her fans on Instagram, she said: “One day you claim you knew about me, but we were ‘separated,’ the next it’s you didn’t know I existed at all.
“Get your story straight [love]. I[t] was all over that man’s page lmao or a simple google search or dm would have sufficed.” So how did Larsa take to the claims? Well, rather than fire shots at Montana, she took aim at Malik for his role in the whole saga. Larsa was particularly angry over Malik’s conduct in the aftermath of the divorce.
He was not living up to the expected financial role he should have played, in light of the fact that he is a wealthy athlete who has a son to look after. This led to disagreements over child support with Montana, and things were taken even further when Malik requested that a DNA test be done in order to prove that he is the father of Makai.
All of this turned Larsa off Malik. In a post to her fans on Instagram, she remarked: “When I thought about him, and how he treated your child, he’s not the type of man I want around… Any man who would deny his child and then leave the mother penniless is not a real man.” Malik did not conduct himself in glory, and if there is anything that he has learnt through this experience, it is that he should avoid the duo from now on.
