Kim Kardashian has refuted the claims that she was having an affair with Travis Barker during the latter’s marriage to his ex-wife Shanna Moakler.

The initial accusations shook the internet primarily because Travis is now hooked up with Kim’s sister Kourtney Kardashian. While Shanna cited Travis’ infidelity as the reason for their break-up, Kim’s narrative was completely counter to that. She claimed the pair were merely friends, and nothing intimate had happened.
During a post to her fans on Instagram, Kim said: “False narrative! We’ve been friends for years, and I’m so happy for him and Kourt.” Despite the denial, there is no denying that Travis had a keen eye for Kim. In his book entitled, ‘Can I Say: Living Large, Cheating Death and Drums, Drums, Drums’, the musician was very vocal about how attractive he had found Kim.
Although this was before he had met Kourtney, his comments were still quite telling. He stated: “How could you not stare at Kim?…Kim was eye candy. I was in no way disrespectful to Paris[Hilton], but I couldn’t keep my eyes off Kim.” Things were made more intriguing by Shanna’s claims that she had concrete proof over Travis and Kim’s affair.
She confirmed she was in possession of various text messages, which showed that something had happened. Nevertheless, if that is proven to be the case, there is still the following question: why has Shanna not released those messages in order to remove all doubt? On closer inspection, there can only be two reasons.
First of all, Shanna’s accusations are entirely unfounded and, therefore, would be blown out of the water. Secondly, she may be in possession of some proof but has refused to disclose it simply because she does not want to damage Travis’ relationship with her children. After all, the kids barely get on with Shanna; so, she does not want to add Travis to that list too.
Regardless of what may have happened, Travis and Kourtney are looking to put this behind them. A source confirmed as much: “Ultimately, Kourtney loves Travis and is pushing it aside. Kourtney and Travis are still obsessed with each other and going strong.”
