Kamala Harris may be making moves as Vice President, but it seems her stepdaughter Ella Emhoff is doing the same.
Kamala Harris Celebrates Her Stepdaughter’s Graduation
Kamala, for her part, has been praised for stepping up to the plate in light of President Joe Biden’s continual decline in health. The latter can no longer conceal his struggles with various media gaffes showing the president suffering from memory problems and a lack of wherewithal. That is why Kamala has been touted as a future president, and this sense of aspiration runs in the family.
In a post to her followers on Instagram, Kamela shared a picture of herself and Ella as they are standing side by side while smiling towards the camera. The post was captioned by the following comments: “Congratulations to our daughter Ella on her graduation. I am so proud of you. Keep dreaming with ambition.”
Ella’s father, Doug Emhoff, also got in on the act. While Kamala and Ella may not be biologically related, their whole family setup is united. Doug stated: “We are such proud parents! We love you so much and are very much looking forward to all you do in the future.” And Ella has already left her mark on the world.
She is a budding fashion designer, and her work was there for all to see during president Biden’s inauguration. She infamously wore a Miu Miu coat which was lauded for being a departure from the customary black or navy attire that the majority were wearing.
Although there are no plans for Ella to enter into the political realm, as of now, who is to say that she cannot do so in the future given the contacts that she has in the field. But for now, she is fully focused on fashion. In a previous interview with Vogue, Ella spoke on her brave choice of clothing for the inauguration. She said: “I was going for something girlier, to embrace my feminine side.
“Like, how many times do you prepare yourself to attend an inauguration? This momentous of an event deserves a momentous outfit.” It will be interesting to see where Ella goes in the future, and who knows, she may end up making an appearance in politics.
