His friends will always be there for him, but apparently not his family. Matt LeBlanc’s father says that he hasn’t spoken to his famous son in over nine years. Paul LeBlanc, a 79-year-old veteran, says that he was cut off after a petty fight they had about finances.
Apparently, Paul was forced to move out of his home after the Friends star cut him off financially. Here’s what he has to say.
“I’ve been living without any contact for nine years and it is still hard to believe what has happened,” Paul told The Sun in a new interview. “I’ve been cut off and locked out of my house over a humiliating argument about money and a motorbike.”

Paul says that his son’s massive success in the television industry, mostly thanks to his role as Joey Tribbiani on Friends, has changed him as a person.
“The problem is that when someone has money, you don’t get into their lifestyle unless they want you there, and they can shut you down,” Paul said. “Matt is erratic with me and he has a short temper. One minute he is nice, the next he is cutting your throat — not literally, obviously.”
He added, “I’m an old man now and I live off social security. If it wasn’t for my savings, I wouldn’t be able to survive.”
However, a rep for the actor says that the two weren’t all that close to begin with. “To put this in perspective, Matt’s father abandoned Matt and his mother when he was an infant,” the rep said in a statement to the press.
Apparently, Paul only came back to Matt’s life when he was 8 and saw him on occasion. But in 1998 Matt did help his father by buying him a house in Colorado and setting up an allowance for him.
