Prince Charles might have just shown the world what he really thinks of his daughter-in-law Meghan Markle by completely cutting her out of a birthday tribute to his grandson Archie Harrison.
As a matter of fact, a lot of fans couldn’t help but notice that the Duchess of Sussex was missing in a photo that Clarence House posted on Archie’s birthday. It was just a black-and-white of Prince Charles and Prince Harry along with baby Archie that was taken back in 2019 and shortly after his birth. Here’s what you need to know.
Did Prince Charles Snub Meghan Markle On Archie’s Birthday?
Clearly, Charles doesn’t want Meghan Markle in the picture, both physically and figuratively. “Happy birthday to Archie, who turns two today,” he captioned of the photo of himself with Harry and his grandson Archie. Yet, it didn’t take very long for royal fans to notice the snub and call out Prince Charles on it.
One critic put it this way, “Sad! Very sad state of affairs when the supposed future king cuts the mother of his grandchild out of the photo with which he chooses to share,” while another said, “Yes, they haven’t seen Archie for over 12months, but to not include Meghan… it’ll only add fuel to the fire of the tabloids. #Archie.”
Another royal critic put it this way, “Why would you not call him your grandson and why cut his mother off? You have made a lot of mistakes yourself or have you forgotten that. This is not helping at all.”
This all comes after one report said that Prince Charles might never, ever forgive Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for the way they embarrassed the royal family in front of the entire world with their tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey back in March. While there’s a chance that Charles might eventually reconcile with his son, there’s not much of a chance that he will ever be able to look at Meghan Markle in the eye again.
