Bobby Bones has confirmed how he missed out on an invite to Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom’s wedding.

Bobby, for his part, is well aware of Katy since they both work as mentors on American Idol. While they may be close on the show, the same cannot be said so then outside of their work lives. And he kept that in his mind. During an interview with Us Weekly, he said: “It [wedding] was so small that I did not get that invite. I did not go to the wedding. And I understood why, although I was jealous.”
Despite missing out on the invite, Bobby fully understood why they would do it. Katy has not had the best public perception ever since her break-up from Russell Brand. She had been very vocal about the media attention she was getting after the revelations that Russell had reportedly dumped her via text. Such a statement was even more shocking, given they had been married for three years.
Naturally, then, there was an emphasis on getting things done as soon as possible. Not only that, but Bobby is also aware of the difficulties involved in trying to carry out a wedding himself. Bobby recently got engaged to his lover Caitlin Parker towards the latter end of last year. Although there are plans to walk down the aisle, the pandemic has not helped the wedding preparations.
But with things perhaps looking a lot better, a wedding could be on the cards very soon. Bobby added: “We delayed our first wedding, which should have been in April, but now we feel good about our late summer wedding. I hear wedding planning is going great.” So will Katy attend Bobby’s wedding? That is unlikely given the fact that Bobby was not given an invite to hers.
However, there are other stars who are going to attend. Bobby confirmed that one of his friends Andy Roddick, the famous tennis player, would be in attendance. But as for Katy and Orlando, he did not address them. Let us hope that the wedding can go ahead without any major hiccups, and we wish Bobby the best with those plans.
