ABC ‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers reveal the return of Roger Howarth is causing a stir online. There are some fans just happy to see the actor back, while others would prefer he’d been brought back as Todd Manning (One Life to Life). Still others are sad at the end of the family Franco Baldwin (Howarth) formed with Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst).
This return, however has also led to some other questions. While fans are curious about why the change happened, we’re also wondering if it will stick. Let’s take a look at what we have seen so far and what the buzz is.

First, ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal we’d been promised a memorable return. They weren’t lying. Seeing Howarth dressed like that in the woods was a surprise enough. But when he turned out to be a doctor who ultimately delivered Maxie Jones’ (Kirsten Storms) baby, we couldn’t.
Of course, Maxie and some fans had the same worry. We wondered if this character was really some innocent bystander who saved the day.
He could be another part of Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) plan, after all. Luckily, that turned out not to be the case. Not-Chloe Jennings (Kimberly J. Brown) knocked him out cold and proceeded to try capturing Maxie. So, what’s next?
ABC ‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: What we see
Honestly, we can’t help but wonder what’s going on here. Last we see the characters, Maxie had run away and caused Not-Chloe to take a fall. She’s currently waiting for Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) to come pick her up. But where does that leave Maxie’s savior, Austin (Howarth)?
We can see Maxie being so rattled from her experience and desperate to escape that she doesn’t think to go back for him. After all, any delay could potentially allow Not-Chloe to find a way out. Or make it more likely Peter will find her. If that’s the case, we think the good doctor himself will track her down.
He did know she was planning to go to Beecher’s Corners. We could possibly see this becoming a romance, actually, but we’ll see. Either way, we will see him again at some point. But why the change?

We have to agree with some of the fans out there. ‘General Hospital’ spoilers reveal another actor once played the character, and he’s been in the news for some less-than favorable reasons.
And with new developments in the situation (as according to Wiki), some believe this was putting an end to the character that could still draw associations with the real life controversy.
However, we also know there were plenty of fans who are not okay with Franco’s history. The character did a lot of terrible, evil things. For some, they just can’t excuse that with the brain tumor excuse.
And they didn’t particularly like how that was forgotten by some. So, it’s possible the writers decided to take a cue from these complaints. Whatever their reasons, we’re curious to see where this new character could take things.
