’90 Day FiancĂ©’ Spoilers indicate that Yara Zaya Dufren doesn’t want to stay in the United States while Jovi is off working in Guyana with his underwater robotics company.
She said her original plan was to go back home during the time that Jovi was at work, but now due to Coronavirus restricting travel and everything, she can’t get back home and that it will probably be 3 years before she’s allowed to travel again because that is just the way that immigration is in the United States. Once you come to the US to be married, you’re here for the duration so you better make the most of it.
’90 Day FiancĂ©’ Spoilers: Yara doesn’t want Jovi to leave
It sounds like Yara’s original plan was to travel back and forth so that she and Jovi never had to be without each other for very long, or if she was without him that she could be with her family in the meantime. It wasn’t a bad plan, it just wasn’t executable. No one planned for a pandemic and I’m assuming Yara didn’t realize the travel restrictions on a new immigrant when she married Jovi.
Honestly, that’s fair. Yara said that when Jovi planned to bring her over, that he should have had a better plan in place than the one that he has, and that’s fair too. No one can argue that Jovi needed a lot better plan than the one that Yara’s being forced to live through right now.
Jovi seems to think that Yara’s loneliness will be cured by being around his Mom and his family, but the thing is, when you miss your own family – there is no replacement for them. Jovi’s Mom is really nice, but Yara wants her own Mom, she wants her own family, she doesn’t want to impose on Jovi’s and that’s completely fair as well.
I think everyone felt a twinge of sympathy when Yara started crying because no one ever wants to be without their family. Also, I’m pretty sure she wants to introduce little Mylah to her Grandparents and right now that can’t happen except on facetime calls, which a baby can’t understand quite yet.
Jovi was a little offended, but honestly, all of her criticisms were fair, even though there were some that he couldn’t help (like the 3 year statute of limitations on travel) all of her criticisms were warranted. Also, her wanting him to take off work for a couple of months while Mylah is a newborn isn’t too much to ask.
Some companies do provide paternity leave, that aside, almost all companies provide FMLA and he should have inquired about that when Yara was about to give birth. But it seems like Jovi is itching to get back on the road again… let’s hope this doesn’t have any other meaning than Jovi’s a workaholic. Stay tuned!!!
