’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers indicate that Andrei Castravet hit a wall when asking Father-in-Law Chuck Potthast for his $100K loan. He wanted Chuck to set him up in his own business, by giving him a loan to flip a house and sell it for profit, make Chuck back his money, and then he would continue doing it on his own. For a seasoned professional this sounds perfectly reasonable, but Chuck flat out said no.
Even though Andrei has his real estate license now, Chuck says that he has no field experience and no experience flipping houses. If Chuck spends his money then he wants a return on his investment and while Andrei may have gotten his real estate license he has no practical experience.
’90 Day Fiancé’ Spoilers: Chuck says no
Instead Chuck offered to let him come work with him (an offer he had made in the past but Andrei had turned down) and then in the future if he’s good he would consider setting him up in his own business. Honestly, I think that’s a pretty generous offer, considering Andrei has no experience whatsoever.
He does have a point, right now Andrei is green, no one knows him in the real estate industry, and we don’t really know how good he’s going to be at flipping houses, so instead of letting him go out and possibly make a $100K failure, Chuck has offered to set him up for a future success. I think that’s a good way of doing business, because the way Chuck sees it, if he helps Andrei, he’s helping Elizabeth.
However, Chuck also works with the rest of the family, which includes all of Elizabeth’s siblings and that includes brother Charlie. As we all remember brother Charlie is the one that stood up at Andrei and Elizabeth’s wedding last year and said that Andrei needed to stand on his own two feet and not leech off of Chuck anymore.
This is probably why Andrei asked for a business loan in the first place because he didn’t want to deal with Charlie. He even told Chuck that if he brings him on that it should be his decision and his alone and he shouldn’t have to involve anyone else, but Chuck is the one who insisted on a family meeting – did anyone else cringe at those two words? I know I did. Stay tuned!!!
