Christine Brown has spoken on how she has changed since her marriage to Kody Brown.
‘Sister Wives’: Christine Brown Is No Longer The Same Women
The duo’s marital problems have been well-publicised, with Kody going as far as claiming they started in 2015. But now it seems, nothing can save their marriage. In an interview with People magazine, Christine said: “For me as a person, I changed phenomenally, I think.” This should come as no surprise, as the couple have continued to butt heads over their issues.
Unlike Kody who feels that things can be salvaged, Christine may not feel the same. She added: “You’ve got to look at yourself a lot more when you have a mirror held up to you, ’cause you’re, you know, you see yourself.” The series finale of Sister Wives left everyone in shock as Christine could no longer keep herself together.
In a heartfelt conversation with the other wives, Christine spoke on her intention to move back to Utah. She said: “When we were there, you guys all talked about [how] Utah was home, and the mountains were home, and family was there. So, I thought that you felt the same.” With the wives seemingly on different pages, Christine could no longer contain herself.
Although Meri Brown sought to comfort her, it was not enough. Christine began to bawl her eyes out, and the tears just kept on coming: “Meri, I can’t do marriage with Kody anymore. I don’t want to. … It’s not enough,” Christine said. Rather than understand what Christine may be going through, Meri wanted to encourage her to keep going. And yet, it is not as easy as that.
Kody and Christine have been married since 1994, so they clearly know what makes each other tick. Not only that, they have six kids together so the prospect of wanting to feel happy in a stable home is what drew Christine to Utah. Christine, for her part, has already put a lot into this relationship.
She had moved cities for the sake of Kody. And now that she wants to do the same, her grievances are understandable if she is being denied that opportunity. That is why she no longer feels appreciated. There is no way back from this.
