‘Real Housewives of Orange County’: Gretchen Rossi Wants Another Baby
Gretchen gave birth to her daughter Skylar over a year ago, but fertility issues have played a major struggle in her getting pregnant again. However, in an interview with Us Weekly, she spoke about how she wants more children in the future. She said: “The thought of having another baby, absolutely, I love the thought of it. We do have one more genetically sound embryo that, in a way, I kind of would feel guilty if I didn’t implant.
“God blessed us with this beautiful other embryo.” But as of now, it is not something in the pipeline. Looking back, it is easy to see why. Her first pregnancy was not exactly a walk in the park. She had suffered from postpartum depression, which started to impact her mental health. Not only that, the actual birth was very complicated. Gretchen had to undergo a C-section, and there was a chance that things could have gone wrong.
That is why she wants to fully heal before having another child. She added: “I haven’t [gotten] back to the exact way that I want to be. I’m just like, how.. [to] manage all of this? I’m a full-time working mom, so there’s just a lot on my plate.” Not only that, but Gretchen is already preoccupied with Skylar. And by the looks of it, she is a handful.
While Gretchen has expressed her intention to expand her brand, Skylar has been calling the shots in the house. She continued: “She is full of so much energy. She’s not one of those babies that just wants to sit and cuddle. Like, she just all day is go, go, go. No off button.” The difficulties were something she was not prepared for.
But having gone through the experience with Skylar, she is in a much better place now. She noted: “I didn’t get the memo that having a baby was the hardest thing you were ever going to do in your lifetime. Nobody really gives you a manual of how hard it’s going to be.”
